Co-op – Tactical Engineer
I completed two co-op rotations at Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations in York, Pa. I worked in assembly as a tactical engineer – assisting in the integration of a co-bot, managing production flow, communicating with production managers and line leads, and editing processes. With a major in Mechanical Engineer, working at Harley was my first experience in manufacturing. I gained knowledge of line feeding, lean manufacturing principles, PLCs,

Alstom
West Mifflin, Pa
Co-op – Methods Engineer
I began a co-op rotation as a methods engineer at a components site. At the Rolling Stock Components sites we manufacture Traction Converters, Inverters, and Power Modules. During my rotation I conducted times studies, created work instructions, and began to learn the ins and outs of rolling stock components. The Alstom West Mifflin site manufactures components for cities all over the country as well as for Canada and even some international. Some projects I have been fortunate to work on are Toronto LRV, Vancouver Skytrain, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), and New Jersey Transit. The New Jersey Transit project is one that I got to witness in startup pretrial production and got experience with the first builds.
